semi-automatic pistol which was issued as a standard
service firearm to the Italian
armed forces in 1934 This compact pistol proved so popular with the Italian Army and Air Force that it became the standard issue sidearm of Mussolini’s Fascist forces. After Italy had withdrawn from the war, a number of these pistols could also be found at the side of officers of the German Wehrmacht. This compact pistol was not only favoured by the Axis though, Allied GIs returning from the European theater brought home many of these popular guns as war trophies. The M1934 was an exceptional gun for the time, and wound up being offered post-war for civilian sale all the way up until 1958.
